Our Story

Two months in Iceland. Seven minutes each morning. A quiet idea that became CelestQi.

Our Story

In 2016, my wife and I were the parents of two young children, just five and three years old. Like many families, our lives revolved around work, raising kids, responsibilities, and trying to keep everything moving. We loved our life, but somewhere along the way we realized we had stopped making time for ourselves.

So we made a decision that felt both exciting and a little scary. We both stepped away from work for two months and moved to Iceland.

Not because we wanted to see another country, but because we wanted to disconnect from the constant rhythm of everyday life. We rented a small apartment in Reykjavík and gave ourselves permission to simply live.

Iceland turned out to be the perfect place for that. Surrounded by waterfalls, volcanoes, glaciers, black sand beaches, and endless open landscapes, it became almost impossible not to slow down. Nature has a way of reminding you what really matters. We spent our days hiking, exploring the island, relaxing in geothermal pools, wandering through Reykjavík, and enjoying the kind of quiet that had become rare in our everyday lives.

Every morning, before heading out, we spent just seven minutes following a guided Qi Gong practice. Most days it was indoors, sometimes outside, but we never skipped it.

Those seven minutes became the quietest—and most meaningful—part of every day.

When we came home, people noticed the difference before we did. We were calmer, more patient, worried less, and smiled more. The seven-minute practice that began in Iceland never left us.

Before that trip, I would have said I didn't have time for a daily routine. Iceland taught us that meaningful change doesn't always require hours of effort. Sometimes seven intentional minutes are enough to completely change how you begin your day.

Over the years, Qi Gong became part of our lives. My wife became a certified Qi Gong instructor and began sharing the practice with friends and our community. At the same time, my lifelong interest in astrology continued to grow—not because I believe it predicts the future, but because it encourages me to pause, reflect, and become more intentional about the day ahead.

Eventually, we realized these two worlds naturally belong together. Astrology helps us understand ourselves and the energy surrounding each day. Qi Gong helps us slow down enough to bring that awareness into our body through movement. One inspires reflection. The other turns that reflection into action.

That simple idea became CelestQi.

We created CelestQi for people like us—people who believe wellbeing doesn't have to be complicated, who are curious about astrology without wanting extremes, and who simply want a morning routine they can actually keep. Every day, CelestQi combines daily astrology guidance with a short Qi Gong practice, creating a simple seven-minute ritual to begin the day with intention, movement, and balance.

Our Hope

We can't take everyone to Iceland.

But if seven minutes each morning can help someone feel a little more grounded, a little more present, and a little more connected to themselves, then creating CelestQi was worth it.

We hope it becomes part of your mornings, just as it became part of ours.

Welcome to CelestQi.
